PROPAGANDA
I think this picture is telling us that everyone is living in harmony as we can see those children in the picture come form different country. I know this because from their clothes, there are different country flag shown.They are also smiling happily without any trouble. So i can infer that everyone is living in peace with no worries about the attack from other country. It is a propaganda because the if they are living in peace, why WORLD WAR 2 happened?
The purose of this propaganda is to warn people of the country that they are invading and to believe that they will be treated as equal to the Japanese and that they will have a better life under the british.

But are you sure,you know this by their different flags only.I thought you must talk about the Japanese.You must also say that you know this because the japanese are at the same level as them.Isn’t that also one point why they are in harmony?That is why they are smiling.They are in peace. It is like telling us that the japanese is not a cruel person all right.So this brainwashes people’s mind by telling something like the japanese are a good ruler.

It is a propaganda because it brainwashes people’s mind by telling that japanese brings peace while the british does not.

yes nissa you are right – the impt thing abt analysing propaganda is knowing who is author ad WHY this was published and for whom the message was targeted and why the message was targeted at this group of people – for you to answer these questions , you need to use what you know abt context – which is that this was published during the time of WW2 – when Japan was invading SEA and China – and this would help you infer the message and purpose of such a propaganda poster being produced.
