1.What does Chapter 1 emphasize on?

Chapter 1 emphasize on Jem’s arm being broken.The battle of hastings, introducing and knowing Dill,Scout and also Jem.They also talk about Boo Radley.How Dill is excellent in acting and scout in reading.

2.Which of the characters appeared in Chapter 1?

Jem,Dill,Simon Finch,Scout,Atticus,Calpurnia,Mr Conner,Mr Radley,Mr Nathan,Miss Stephanie.

3.What does “apothecary”(page 3, line 26) means?

Apothecary means a druggist.

4.What had happened before Jem broke his arm?

Jem was not injured before that.He was just a stubborn boy that did not listenm to instructions.

5. What can you say about Jem’s attitude towards football?

Jem’s attitude towards football is so deep.I know this because he is assuaged that he could still play football no matter his arm is broken.This shows that he loves playing football.

6.What happened before Jem’s attutide towards football?

He was so stubborn.

7.What is the Battle of Hastings?

The ‘Battle of Hastings’ is the battle of  people of different skin colour.The agreement whether they should accept them becauase of the skin colour.The whites are more than the negroues.

    Question 2,You ask ‘Which of the characters appeared in Chapter 1?’
    Did you mean main characters or all the characters?There are also others characters not talking in the chapter but their name are being said.In other case,the question should be asked, ‘Who are the characters in chapter 1?’

    For question 3, You ask ‘What had happened before Jem broke his arm?’
    You ask this in chapter 1,but you cannot refer the answer at chapter 1.

    i’m not commenting on my own work.Instead i’m asking a questions to the questioner on my own post.They did not reply.
