Chapter 4,page 45

Atticus was curious. The quote ‘I hope it doesn’t’ was about Atticus hoping that Jem,Scout and Dill is not playing a game about the Radleys. After the curiosity,Jem stubbornly wanted to continue.Scout had ask him to stop playing but he refuses to listen. This show that he is stubborn.

An example image of Jem based on his attitude:

Why did i choose this picture:

I choose this picture because Jem is stubborn.I know that he is stubborn because he did not listen to what Scout told him.Instead he argued with her and saying that she acted like a girl. The expression of the boy is like when Jem refused to stop playing. The cross arms show that he is angry. He looks like a bad boy who is stubborn.

The first thing that came to my mind when I look at this picture is that I think he is a spoilt brat. His facial expression and also the way he crossed his arms show the stubborn in him. For example, for a spoilt brat, when you don’t get things your way, you will give that look. This links to the part when Jem refused to stop playing.

I agree with Raihana point of view. By looking at his facial expression really describe him as a stubborn person and folding his hand. You said that ‘he stubbornly wanted to continue playing’ really describe him in the picture.
