1967 Chinese propaganda poster from the Cultural Revolution.Translation: “Smash the old world, establish a new world.”

This propanganda shows that the chinese would start something new.It is an effort of forgeting the past. This makes a point of view, like agreeing with the propanganda.

Propaganda is a message aimed at influencing the opinions or behaviour of large numbers of people. Therefore, propanganda in its most basic sense presents information in order to influence its audience instead of impartially providing information. Some propanganda are  completely truthful. It has facts presented to encourage a particular synthesis or loaded messages in order to produce an emotion rather than rational responses to the information presented.

How is propaganda used??(Give example)

Propaganda is used in pictures, videos and recordings in different kind of way. The way the propaganda is used is to take others opinion in taking one decision.

For example:

The Great Britain encouraged solidarity in its allies. From this propaganda, we can tell that the countries are united as soldiers are holding flags to represent their country. This propanganda makes someone think that they were to onward to victory. It is a kind of suggestion.

Why is propaganda used?

Propaganda is used to influence large number of people’s reactions like an advertisement. It is also used as a weapon because of the power that comes with public support for winning wars.

What is Propaganda?

Propaganda is spreading of imformation to help or hurt a cause, telling the side that you want people to know and also appeal to emotions rather than intellect.

Is is also is a concerted set of messages aimed at influencing the opinions or behavior of large numbers of people. Instead of impartially providing information, propaganda in its most basic sense presents information in order to influence its audience. The most effective propaganda is often completely truthful, but some propaganda presents facts selectively to encourage a particular synthesis, or gives loaded messages in order to produce an emotional rather than rational response to the information presented.

Importance about planning

Posted on March 18th, 2008 in Min Wen, Reflection by l0llip0p  Tagged

I feel that the importance of planning is that, it helps us think and made us be more clear about what we should do.

Last Friday, we never did the planning as told by ms lee, when we went out to gather more information about propaganda, we were confused where we should go and waste time thinking about where we should go. Unfortunately, when we went to a place that is useless as we will not allowed to take photo there. Jie cheng even got caught by the police because the place is retricred. He had to give the policemen his name and his ic.

If we have the chance to go again, we will make sure we did our planning before we even go there. As for homework, i hope i can do the planning according to what ms lee says. If you do not plan, you plan to fail. I think this sentence is meaningful because if we did not plan, we are not helping ourselves as planning is more inportant than the writting itself. So we must planning at all times. If you want to do well in all your work.

Reflection on planning

Posted on March 18th, 2008 in Feng Li, Jie Cheng, Reflection by jiecheng  Tagged

I have understand why planning is so important in our life and if I fail to plan, I am planning to fail. My group members and I have experience this before. Not only planning is use in our english summary, we can also use it in many ways. Last Friday, we went to Belieu house and Canberra Sec instead of Fort Canning without bothering to plan or do researches before going. We thought it will be an exciting trip but ended up a wasted and unlucky trip. Although I didn’t go for the second trip to Ford factory, I knew that my group have learned alot of things from there because they planned. I have learn a lesson and if I am going for a trip again, I will do some planning before going.
